For those malays who are open-minded and understand chinese's situation, I really respect you all. It is hard to see such malays when racist politicians rule the country with racist policies. You have to admit that malays of your kind are rare under such circumstance. That's why UMNO is always winning the elections. We would like to see more malays "evolve" to your kind and befriend with you all.
We are sorry that this guy was insulting your religion but please understand that why we are mad. For every housing area, it is compulsory to have a mosque. To apply for building a temple or church, it is really difficult, nearly impossible. Same thing happens to schools where sekolah kebangsaan are built for most housing areas but chinese and indian schools are never built even though the housing area has lots of non-malay citizens staying in.
Malay politicians always like to provoke racist issues, not chinese, especially during elections. They like to mislead the malays that chinese are the one causing poverty in malay society. This is really wrong. It might be true in the olden days when chinese owned the tin mines and so on but not now. It is the new economy policies after 13 May incident in 1969 causes the poorer malays to be poorer and the richer one richer. Those big tummy politicians and rich malay businessmen are the culprits.
One guy was making a good point in his comment: we love Malaysia but not the BN government. We all know that Malaysia has three main races: malay, chinese, indian. We love Malaysia means we would love to live peacefully with you all. You can see lots of emotional and racist comments here but we don't have bad intentions. We are treated so unfairly for so long and have tolerated with unfair policies for more than 30 years.

i fully agree with you ,we are not here to fight with any race but merely hope to raise some awareness to the public ( be it malay , chinese or indian or minority races ) that our goverment is so useless and absolutely hopeless , we have to work together for the coming election to show them we care and love about our country , don't vote for them and put pressure on them to improve and perhaps a change of goverment ... and i believe it takes time to eventually see some result , but i am just hoping there will be more and more malays who is educated and understand this unfair and priviledge system is the real stumping block that stop them from progressing . The Malay youngsters behaving that way because they've bring up to be prejudice to other races. It's a parents and Malays communities fault. It's also a Malaysian problem. Malays always stick with Malays and Chinese always stick with Chinese. Even if we stay in the same neighbourhood, we don't try to communicate. When we don't get to know each other, we keep on thinking of other people in a suspicious way. I think that is the biggest problem now. We have to start making difference.. we should start to get to know each other. If there's a 'gotong-royong' or recycle campaign in the neighbourhood, let's join the even. The more we comunicate with others, it'll be more people understand everyones culture.. To the Malays out there, let's open our mind to others. There's nothing to loose if we show some respect. The true Islam is always highly respected, and not the ppl who interpreted it as its current form in Malaysia, for the sake of being elected.
There are always differences in ideas as long as you are human. But using Islam as a name as well as a political tool to unite and fool the Malays by UMNO is simply dangerous. The trend is, UMNO & PAS are competing each other to see who is more Islamic. And that's why the non-muslims are fighting to preserve the Secular state status.
The only way to change Malaysia is: To vote the non-religious / non-racial (UMNO/MCA/MIC/PAS etc..)based party.
Wake up Malaysians! We are living in a complicated nation but don't be fooled by the government. We don't want religion to be mixed with politics. See what Thai Government did last month? The rejected the request for making Buddha as the National Religion though 95% of the population is Buddhist! I'm not a serious Buddhist but I salute this action of Thai Government.
Wake up! To our Malay brothers & sisters, Malaysia will not be taken away if non-malay is leading the country. Have Singapore ever talked about becoming another province of China?
Also, you are Malay & not Arabian, you have not so long cultural history but don't even act & dress like Arabian in this tropical country.
Furthermore, why lots of Malays students were sent abroad to study from Mat Saleh/Japanese/Korean but cannot accept a great Chinese/Indian Malaysia scholar to head the faculty in local university?
If ethnic Chinese were asked to leave the country, pls check your own bloodline since which generation your family move to this so-called Malaysia.
Malaysia is beautiful because of it's multiracial background.

I agree that Mingzhi is reflecting the present situation in Malaysia HOWEVER the message could be conveyed in a better manner...
I know many of you here are 热血青年 and have their own ideas of expressing their love and concern for Malaysia but making racist remarks and swearing isn't constructive towards making a better nation...
The world is bigger than a blogspot comment page, instead of flaming each other here, we can better direct the energy and effort towards a constructive plan to help Malaysia out of this vicious cycle....isn't this what Mingzhi was stressing when he said the police should concentrate on reducing the crime rates rather than pick on him for just one song. If we continue holding each other's throats here, are we not the same as the people so many of you claim to hate?

I have watched the MV for many times, I can not find a single word that he is trying to harm anyone.
Not all the Chinese are hard working but majority are. Not all the Malay are "living easy life style" but majority are.
I do not understand why people are complaining about the religion portion. It is true that our Islam buddy is praying in early 5 am. I feel annoying but I respect it because it is Islam culture and we need to have mutual respect in multi-races nation.
Police corruption - it will take a true leader to clean it up. Hope I will see it in my living life.
IMHO, the racist was created by "bad" policies. Government should really review those policies. The hardworking Malay, who takes advantage of the policies, rich becomes richer and poor remain in poor.
M'sia may not need to lead by non-Malay but instead we need to have a group of great/true leaders who should have a mindset to create policies that can really help the people of M'sia. If we keep distinguish ourselves as Chinese, Malay, Indian or others to make policies, M'sia will not progress.
Malay is the major population in M'sia. I have not doubt that they will continue to incharge in Government. I hope that I will see a true Malay leader who can make M'sia a true Malaysian country.
Whoever say "Jika cina tak suka, balik ke china”should be punished by his/her own party. He/she is not qualified as people representative.

楼下sebastian仁兄此诗颇有其道理。这现象并非只是一时。纵观历史，没有可意逃过这个法则的。当一个政府不断的结党谋取私利，多行不义，罔故民生律法，则官僚涣散，官僚构架既毁，则盗贼起，官既是贼，贼既是官，民怨滋生。待时至，必有民反。政府或蒸压，或杀戮，或囚禁。倘若执政者不知悔改，则越演越烈，幸者和平改朝换代，不幸者武力推翻。
明志是一位歌手，和任何艺术一样，就只干一件事，就是把思想用自己的方法表达出来。民生本来就归政府照顾保持，如今负责这事的人被人批评，自然没有面子，就起剧烈反映，这是意料中的事。
目前明志的名气空前，加上今天新洲日报社论又再探讨这件事，不久你的youtube的访问计数超过百万也不足为奇。
明志兄的心情低落是必然的。可是绝对不能放弃。我建议明志兄上网了解一下我国五，六十年代的学生运动，当时的生活状况更加恶劣，政治派系更复杂，而参与的学生很多都只有14，15岁。明志兄已经过了弱冠之年，应该可以承担，也可以利用这个事件做更深的思考。来日方长，必有作为。
最后奉劝明志，暂时不要回来，请继续留在台湾用功。如有任何需要，我可以交待在台湾的友人帮忙。

或许这次真的是因为敢敢讲而惹了麻烦，你本来因为《麻坡的华语》已经很出名了，现在举国上下都在谈论你，连我学校那些不上网的同事都三不五时讲起你的Negarakuku。因为你是华人，我们都担心你，相信你的家人更焦虑吧。你一副无所谓的样子，父母有心痛吗？虽然内容反映事实，身在这里，早就已经接受了这不公平的对待。或许你到了台湾突然觉得想大声申诉，但是你始终摆脱不了自己是马来西亚子民的身份。从小我们就被教导要爱国，长大了了解到不公平，我们也只是靠自己更加努力的争取和证明。你想维护正义是对的，但是你不是站在领导阶级的人物。然后你可能想，你想说就说，反正你只是想让领导层听到你的心声，后果也没顾虑那么多。可能被更改的，或许早就改了。不可能被更改的又不吐不快。说了以后，让别人去反省，让华裔领导层去为我们争取。可是事与愿违，他们也帮不上什么忙，反而把矛头指向你，保住自己的清白。

I can forgive you for saying this. I know lots of malaysians only read entertainment news everyday and know nothing about this country other than what is taught in the textbooks. The government has made the textbooks to control how far we can see. You maybe the one of the victims. I feel sorry for you and I won't request an apology from you.
In a nut shell, chinese and indians are victims of unfair policies in malaysia. What's wrong with what MingZhi is doing now? Just imagine that we've got hit in the face but we cannot shout "Ouch!" actually your case right. I feel can fight back one. All the words you used are double meaning one. People who understand them only mean they feel the same way. If this did not happen, how would people even interpret the song differently. If people like to interepret it the other way, that means that is the truth. In the law, there is nothing wrong with telling the truth. You should fight back sentence by sentence. There should be no sinister in between the sentence. The only straight forward thing that was in the song was only about the slow movement in the gov quee. But that was the truth. ya. it is true that we should respect negara ku. but in which law did it mention that without changing the word, just the way of singing it that it will be wrong? You did follow the whole negara ku song. eg. you like to sing it in R&B. You sang that and put on you tube. That is your personal preference. You did not mean to show to public. Then it is you tube that they should sue. Because you tube make it available to the public. You did not. If really sue, then you tube should have a device to detect malaysian and ban all of us before it can operate. Is you tube who encourage your product to be published without sensoring it. Shoudln't you tube be sued instead? We all sing the negara ku in different tempo once in a while. Personal uses are accepted in the law right? If I sing in my bathroom, they could not catch me right. 不是因為新山的治安問題；也不是謝英福案件中，代表政府的控方敗得灰頭土臉；更不是因為政府工程又破又漏，配合三美回應的千瘡百孔，成為國際話題。
一切都是羅姆先生（Thierry Rommel），這位歐盟駐馬來西亞大使所引起。
副首相納吉批評羅姆干預大馬內部事務，違反國際原則。
教育部長兼巫青團長希山說羅姆過份、自大、越權、無知。
外交部長賽哈密指他不負責任。
隨後，羅姆被傳召到外交部，要求作出解釋。
外交部還考慮向歐盟呈交抗議信。
這種迅速、果斷、強硬的反應和後續行動，真是難能可貴。
到底羅姆做了什麼驚天動地的事，製造了驚濤駭浪？
我引述羅姆在歐盟─大馬工商會的一項餐會上，發表的談話。
對了，他談到了大馬的新經濟政策。
“新經濟政策，成為政府推行保護政策的藉口，施行予汽車、鋼鐵、消費品、農業、服務業和政府工程等領域。”
“大馬政府指稱這些是‘初生’工業，必須予以保護，但是實際上，它們是以馬來人為中心的土著政策。”
他接著說，新經濟政策將使大馬與歐盟及東南亞之間的自由貿易談判產生問題。
羅姆先生的演說，實在是夠直接的了；或許這一點很不符合外交官“應有”的婉轉和圓通。
尤其是針對新經濟政策，這可是一個禁忌，怎麼能夠令人消受得了。
然而，瞭解羅姆先生的為人，就知道他不是“一般”的外交官。直腸直肚，有話直說，稱呼人少，得罪人多，這是他的特色。

As I know that the Malaysian anthem song "Negaraku" was a rip off from a Hawaii Song "Mamula Moon". Since the person who created Negaraku is a copy cat, who cares about re-editing it. (You could keep it as your personal notes for your future use). This country is totally fucked up, no matter in politically or socially issue. In Malaysia, there is only Orang Melayu, Orang Cina, and Orang Indian; there is no such word "Anak Malaysia". The management of this country is totally messed up. Talented people don't deserve a chance to performance and contribute their intelligence, just because of their race. Malaysia Boleh, Malaysia Boleh, Malaysia Boleh apa? Boleh Bomb Mongalian kerana kamu suka? We can't even fully built the Petronas Twin Towers. The engineering design is from Cesar Pelli & Associates (USA), and the construction works was completed by Korea and Japan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petronas_Twin_Towers). All Malaysian did is just paying others to build something they couldn't build on their soil and claimed themselves "Malaysia Boleh". After the incident of May 13 in 1969, the Democracy of this nation never been improved. I think Malaysia was a better nation if our ancestor sticked with British. 另類愛國心情

留台生黃明志在YouTube上發表的改編國歌《我愛我的國家》（Negarakuku），讓他再次在網絡上成為焦點。
之前，他曾以一曲《麻坡人的華語》，在網上爆紅。
看過短片後，肯定會有一些人覺得他很勇敢，但同時也會有人替他擔心：“這樣改編國歌會不會被對付，他可能會被抓。”
會有這種想法是很自然的事，因為長期生活在一個“嚴格管教”的家長式社會裡，做了一些規範以外的事，總會怕被“爸媽”罵。
對於這件事，若我們能往積極面去想，這也是年輕人愛國的一種表現，而且是以最真誠和最無懼的心，透過目前最流行網絡媒體，表達個人對大馬社會的看法。內容有褒有貶，卻不歌功頌德，間接地也為許多有同樣心理但不敢言的大馬人，吐了一口悶氣。
目前還在台灣（言論自由的空間）深造的黃明志，會作出這首歌並不讓人驚訝（環境使然），而他創作這首歌也許純粹是要娛樂大眾，表達自己的感想，並沒有污辱國家的用意，所以也不會想到是否會被大馬政府對付。因為在台灣，這類創作根本就是“無蝦米”（福建話）。
反觀大馬，隨著網絡媒體的流行，政府已開始關注國人在網上的言論，而之前已有一些部落格的站主被起訴的例子。所以，在《我愛我的國家》這首歌發表後，政府總是以一貫的言論：只要網絡作品的作者是本地人，一旦他觸犯任何法令，政府一定會採取行動對付他。
時代不同了，勸請“大人們”改變想法，認真聆聽年輕人的心聲，而不要動不動就要採取行動對付他們，因為在有限的言論自由的空間裡，許多年輕人已把網絡媒體當成言論自由的最後一片淨土。
在大馬，像黃明志這類人應該還很多，只不過長期被嚇大，發表言論時總是會瞻前顧後的，擔心被對付，久而久之也就把怨氣往肚子裡吞，就這樣算了！
這些年輕人有的是一顆赤子之心，他們只是用不同的方式來表達愛國的心情，所以“大人們”，不要在制造無形的恐慌，保留這個空間，允許他們用不同的方式來說：“我愛我的國家”。

如果你是新加坡總理李顯龍的兒子，祖父又是內閣資政李光耀，你特殊的身份肯定讓你身價百倍，若果又對政治有興趣，那你必然是一顆萬人追棒的未來政治明星。
李鴻毅是一個很普通的名字，但就因為他的父親就是李顯龍，在許多國家這種身份就是“太子爺”，誰會動他一根寒毛？也許年輕的李鴻毅就有這種心態，結果犯了“兵家大忌”。
身為國民服役軍官的李鴻毅，就因為將寫給上級的投訴信廣發軍中同僚，結果是“王子犯法、與民同罪”遭懲戒。當然沒有人質怪李顯龍“養不教、父之過”，強調法紀的新加坡武裝部隊也沒有因為“總理的兒子”而網開一面。
李鴻毅因把他對一名軍官缺勤，可是上級主管接獲其舉報後卻未進行處分的投訴信廣發給同僚而觸犯國防部守則，但至少他有膽識舉報不公之事，只不過是做得“過火”而不容於軍紀。
如果李鴻毅“潔身自愛”，他大可少管閒事，即然上司都不嚴管下屬，他沒有理由越俎代庖；何況軍隊中講的是紀律，必須依照正常的管道行事，不允許你行差踏錯半步。
20歲的李鴻毅有一般年輕人具備好打不平的本色，而在許多時候，這種挺身而出及仗義執言的行徑，更是強調正義與公正社會所不能或缺，否則整個社會將成了事不關己，己不操心的泠漠境界，最後自是讓邪惡肆虐。
如果社會變得缺情少義又無愛，凡事一隻眼開一隻眼閉，社會問題肯定衍生；有話直說自然也會惹人不快，甚至就如李鴻毅那樣踩正地雷。當然在民主社會裡，我們不願看到有錢有權就可肆無忌憚，但如果沒有人揭發不公，不滿之聲又沒法紓發，那麼社會鴻溝豈非越來越大，最後遭殃的又是誰呢？
李鴻毅被軍方懲戒，因為新加坡不允許他有“特權”，否則他的父親怎樣面對新加坡人？缺勤的軍官被控上軍事法庭，兩名上級主官也受到書面警告，這也反映了獅城法紀的嚴謹，彈丸之地的新加坡能立足全球，自有它一定的道理！
之前獅城電視藝人李名順因喝酒駕車被判入獄，數十年前更因有部長被指貪污而自殺，這就是新加坡“本色”，李鴻毅被懲戒，那是新加坡人之福啊！ （星洲日報/有話直說•作者：劉益萬•2007.07.14）

（吉隆坡訊）副首相拿督斯里納吉週二（7月24日）提醒網站的經營者和記者，如果他們的言論在多元種族和多元宗教的社會引起緊張情緒，將不會免受到法律的對付。
他說，這些人必須對網上作品負責；他們不應把政府向來對言論自由的忍容，視為一種自由放任的“執照”，而罔顧對社會所產生的後果。
另一方面，首相署部長拿督斯里納茲里也在國會上議院裡強調，現在是政府對不負責任的部落客宣戰的時候！
他說，對於那些詆毀回教及馬來統治者的作者，政府將毫不猶豫地採取對付行動，除了援引煽動法令及刑事法典外，也不惜動用內安法令。
納茲里說：“我也會指示官員研究現有的法令，看看有哪一項條文，允許我們撤銷這些不法之徒的公民權，甚至把他們驅逐國外。”
兩位領袖皆認為這是不健康的發展，納吉擔心一些言論將影響社會的團結與安寧。
納吉今晚在“2006年大馬新聞協會─國油大馬新聞獎”及“2007年大馬記者之夜”晚宴上說，目前已有一些部落格及網站業者，根據個人偏好和個人看法，做出了不負責任的網站管理態度，這種做法並沒有考慮到多元種族社會利益。
偏激言論引社會不安
他指出，在自由的名目下，這些網站容許誹謗、謊言、詛咒漫罵、使用粗言和卑鄙下流的言語、含有種族性的言論，完全沒有考慮對讀者產生的影響。

If you're the leader of this country, you definitely will stop anybody from trying to spark riots. I'm sure the government allows us to voice out, but always be in a good manner. If we exceed the limit, they'll will stop us from making statements. We do have the freedom, try to use it in a proper way because bad words are more dangerous than weapons.

昨晚间，看了夜间新闻，有“大人物” 说我国(回教国)发展得还不错，比一些不是回教国发展得还好。我想想，咱们不差，那是归功于我国的政治家能干还是归功于咱们国家丰富的资源呢? 如何与一些没有丰富资源的国家相提并论呢? 而当资源用完时，要靠什么呢? 大马有什么比人家强吗? 经济? 贸易? 科技? 农业 (Well, Thailand R&D better than us ), 还是杂技 ? HE HE..
没有丰富资源的国家又为何比我国来得繁荣? 因人家是靠实力!
We (Chinese, Malay, Indian, and M'sia citizen) should united together and show your valuable vote. Show them the color - people are the "POWER", not the one with the title. If you do not work for M'sia people, then you will not get my vote.

40多年前，美國著名黑人民權領袖馬丁路德金發表了一篇鏗鏘有力的演說─《我有一個夢》，至今仍深深影響著世人。
那是他在1963年8月28日一個美國黑人為了爭取自由平等和就業的示威大遊行上，所發表的歷史性演說。
這是一篇扣人心弦的演說，馬丁路德金站在林肯的雕像前，對著20萬名黑人同胞，把在林肯簽署了解放黑奴宣言的100年後，美國黑人仍然生活在種族隔離鐐銬和種族歧視的枷鎖下，備受欺壓的悲慘事實公諸於世，並呼籲美國黑人同胞以非暴力的手段爭取權力。
這不只一篇充滿人性的演說，也是一篇充滿文化魅力，充滿深刻哲理的經典文章。
對著林肯這位偉人的雕像，馬丁路德金一針見血地如此指出：“……美國顯然沒有實踐她的諾言。美國沒有履行這項神聖的義務，只是給黑人開了一張空頭支票，支票上蓋著‘資金不足’的戳子後，便退了回來。”
“但是”他斬釘截鐵地繼續說：“我們不相信正義的銀行已經破產，我們不相信，在這個國家巨大的機會之庫裡已沒有足夠的儲備。因此，今天我們要求將支票兌現─這張支票將給予我們寶貴的自由和正義的保障。”
40年後的今天，重溫馬丁路德金這篇演說，仍然讓人有感慨萬千的一番感觸。
今天，美國黑人真正解放了嗎？
當然，這仍然是一個充滿爭議的課題。但無可否認的是，至少在法律上，美國黑人是自由的，是平等的；至少美國的黑人女性賴斯可以擔任國務卿，美國的黑人男子奧巴馬也可以競選美國總統。
儘管沒有絕對的自由和平等，但因為自由和平等的治國理念，成就了美國，使她成為當今世界一個偉大的國家。
人人都有夢，而馬丁路德金的夢是偉大的─他夢想有一天，“這個國家會站起來，真正實現其信條的真諦”，因為“我們認為，這些真理是不言而喻的：人人生而平等。”他夢想有一天，他的孩子，“將在一個不是以他們的膚色，而是以他們的品格優劣來評價他們的國度裡生活。”他夢想有一天，“能將這個國家刺耳的爭吵聲，改變成為一支洋溢手足之情的優美交響曲。”
迎接50周年國慶之際，馬丁路德金40多年的夢，不正是我們的今日之夢嗎？

The government has always been using Malaysia's image and society stability as their excuses for stopping people from pointing out the actual problems of Malaysia. The question is: Will pointing out problems causes instability in society and damage to Malaysia's beautiful image? I think the answer is a big "NO". The problems are so well known that voicing them out in public will not affect the society much. It is keeping them as known "secrets" and not solving them that disgruntles us. Sadly, our government thinks that everything is still swept nicely under the carpet. Discontent has been built up in non-malay society but the government just ignores that fact and is happy with the fake unity shown in Malaysia. No shame goes to Malaysia if we point the problems out. The government is the ugly one who in fact is putting lots of make-ups to cover itself up. Those politicians thought they are smart to cover up the ugly facts. Indeed they are so smart that everyone, even foreign countries like europe countries, know what is really wrong in Malaysia. Malaysia is beautiful but not the government. Remember not to make a mistake which those malay politicians always make: Country is not equal to government.

如果依照马来西亚官员一贯的思维来看，《读者文摘》似乎对我们很有敌意。
之前，《读者文摘》针对全球35个城市展开人民礼貌抽样调查，结果吉隆坡在35个受调查城市中排名倒数第三。
如今，《读者文摘》又在全球32个城市进行考验城市居民诚实度的测试，结果吉隆坡和香港排在最后。
之前最有礼貌调查的三项小测试是：在繁忙大街是否愿意主动捡起掉在地上的纸？店员对顾客说“谢谢”的频率有多高？在进出商场或写字楼大门时，是否愿意为后面的人挡一下门？
结果，我国高官显要大怒，直指这三项测试不公，也不符合东方人的“礼仪”，甚至还有东方人的礼貌是较“内敛”的说法，质疑这项调查结果。
如今，最诚实的测试是“遗失”手机，看看哪些城市的居民捡到手机后，会诚实地归还。结果，30部手机里，吉隆坡人拾走了17部，只归还13部，诚实度排名最后。
当然，站在维护国家形象与声誉的立场，我们可以大声反驳，指责这项调查不公不准，甚至含有恶意。毕竟，最不礼貌和最不诚实这两个大罪名，落在任何一个人头上都不是件好事。
只是，我们是否可以反过来想想，为什么别人可以做到的事，我们做不到？
基本礼貌是放诸四海皆准的，不会有东西方文化不同的区分。同样的，路不拾遗、拾金不昧的诚实态度，也是我们自小受教育时一直耳提面命的，难道这也东西有别吗？
在之前的礼貌调查排行榜，香港名列第25位尚排在马尼拉之后。当时，香港舆论界不是炮轰《读者文摘》，反而要求认真检讨只有50%店员会向顾客道谢，与全球平均数74%相比有一段差距。
如果我们的高官显要不学习香港自省检讨的态度，而是沿用过去的思维，再一次炮轰《读者文摘》，那么不如干脆禁了它吧，或者向它宣战吧！
